We collect merchant data such as store name, email, Shopify domain, subscription status, and billing information. We also collect customer review data including names, email addresses, IP addresses, ratings, comments, photos, and timestamps when submitted through our widget or review request emails. Merchants may optionally allow us to access their public social media posts for display on their storefront via our social widget. Additionally, we collect technical data such as browser type, device ID, operating system, referral URLs, and IP address, as well as diagnostic and usage data such as session duration, user clicks, and feature engagement metrics.

2. How We Use Your Information:

We use your information to operate and improve our review platform, facilitate review requests, display review widgets, process social media integrations, provide upsell modals with product ratings after checkout, and enhance your store's SEO through structured data. Your data helps us deliver customer support, personalize features, monitor system usage, and ensure platform security and compliance.

3. Review Display and SEO Integration:

We embed structured data into our widgets to enable rich snippets on search engines like Google. This enhances visibility by displaying review ratings and counts in search results. Reviews are shown on various widgets such as product pages, floating badges, modals, carousels, or sidebars, and may be indexed by third-party search engines.

4. Social Media Usage:

If merchants opt to use our social media integration, we collect and display only the content that they explicitly authorize-such as Instagram or TikTok posts tagged with specific product mentions. This content appears alongside reviews on the storefront. We do not collect any unauthorized or private content.

5. Upsell Feature:

After a customer completes a purchase, we may display an upsell modal featuring a related product, along with its review scores and comments. This feature is dynamically generated and aims to enhance user engagement and drive additional conversions without requiring new personal information from customers.

6. Subprocessors and Data Sharing:

We utilize subprocessors including Amazon Web Services (AWS) for hosting, Mailgun for email services, and Google Analytics for performance tracking. These partners are bound by data protection agreements and do not have permission to use your information beyond their intended services. We do not sell personal information.

7. Data Retention:

We retain personal data for the duration of your subscription or as required to provide services. Upon account termination or by request, we will delete or anonymize data unless required to retain it by law.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process your data based on contractual necessity, legal obligation, consent (for email marketing or optional features), and legitimate interest in delivering services and improving performance.
